Rick Cole provides extensive experience with leading reciprocating engine technologies.
Mr. Cole's power generation career began in 1980 with Stewart and Stevenson fulfilling industrial requirements for on-site energy. From 1986 through 2000, Mr. Cole was sales manager of Valley Detroit Diesel Allison in Los Angeles providing packaged standby and prime power generator sets with attendant engine control and paralleling switchgear for a variety of applications in California, Mexico, and Hawaii. In 2000, Mr. Cole joined DTE Energy Technologies, a separate subsidiary of DTE Energy (now iPower Energy Systems), as District Manager for California. The product portfolio included Waukesha natural gas engines, Deutz prepackaged cogeneration modules, and custom-designed standby power systems. Marquee projects included five 2 MW standby generator systems for the Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California, a 4.5 MW 15kV cogeneration Waukesha system for Hoag Hospital in Newport Beach, CA and a multi-engine line up for Medway Plastics in Long Beach, California.
Mr. Cole served as vice-chairman of the distributor council for the Detroit Diesel engine distributor network for generator systems and is a current member of the Association of Energy Engineers. Mr. Cole earned a BA in Political Science and a graduate degree as a Lawyer's Assistant from Texas State University.
